Cancellation Policy

When appointments are booked, the practitioner reserves that hour for you, therefore the following cancellation policy is in place.
We require 24 hours notice to reschedule or cancel a session without occurring any extra fees. This policy is in place to allow us to offer the allocated time to another client who may be on a cancellation or waiting list for an appointment. A $120 fee will be charged for non-attendance or cancellation of a session with less than 24 hours' notice.

A late cancelled appointment is a loss to three people:

  • The client who is delaying their therapy progress

  • Another client who has been on the waiting list to see the psychologist

  • The psychologist who has prepared for the session

You may call our office at anytime, even after hours, as we do have an answering service that allows you to leave a message. We will return your call as soon as possible.
Please note that Medicare does not cover any cancellations or non-attendance of clients.

  1. Unexpected illness/accident where a dated medical certificate is supplied on the health provider’s letterhead or, in the case of a friend/family member’s illness, a similarly dated and signed note on medical/hospital letterhead naming you as attending to support someone else who is ill. All doctors and hospitals are usually willing to write such short letters. (Note: we do not require details of the illness).

  2. Sudden death of family/friend or funerals. A note signed and dated on letterhead indicating you are a close friend or family member by the doctor certifying the death just as above for your illness or funeral “Orders of service” which usually show the date it is held are accepted in the case of sudden deaths but not death notices in newspapers unless the client is specifically named among the bereaved

However, in fairness to the professionals who provide services for us, Wellbe does not make any further appointments with the original practitioner or any other practitioner until this fee is cleared.
